We are one of two provinces without gathering restrictions leading into this Thanksgiving long weekend. And today, we will once again break new COVID records, as we’ve been doing all week.
REGINA - Today, Official Opposition Leader Ryan Meili called on Premier Moe and the Sask. Party government to reinstate indoor gathering size limits and provide clear public guidance leading into this Thanksgiving weekend.
REGINA - Today, Jobs and Economy Critic Aleana Young addressed the Sask. Party government’s failure to provide timely guidance to local businesses and employees, as the rollout of the proof of vaccination program continues to stumble and flail.
Urgent action needed in schools and classrooms buckling under pressure of 4th wave
REGINA - Today, Leader of the Official Opposition Ryan Meili, joined by Opposition Education Critic Carla Beck, called on the Sask. Party government to introduce self-isolation requirements for all kids who are close contacts to positive COVID-19 cases. They also called for teachers and school staff to be included in mandatory vaccine requirements and for rapid testing and contact tracing resources to be provided to schools and daycares.
Minister of Health Paul Merriman’s last public sighting was over a month ago, on August 25, when he claimed his government’s public health response to the 4th wave was going just fine and that the Government of Saskatchewan was “not looking at any change in direction.” Here’s what’s changed since the Minister last showed up to work:
