REGINA - With COVID-19 hitting front-line health professionals across the healthcare system, Official Opposition Leader Ryan Meili called on Premier Scott Moe and the Sask. Party government today to extend Phase 2 of the Saskatchewan Temporary Wage Supplement Program to all healthcare workers in the province. Currently, the “hero pay” program only supports workers in long-term care and personal care home facilities impacted by the suspension on visitations that came into effect on November 20, as well as homecare workers.

REGINA - In the first Question Period of the legislative session, Official Opposition Leader Ryan Meili called on Premier Scott Moe to immediately release the $260 million in contingency funds the government has amassed, and to use that funding to fight the second wave of Covid-19.

REGINA - NDP Finance Critic Trent Wotherspoon and the Critic for the Economy and Jobs Aleana Young responded today to the government’s Mid-Year Report, raising serious concerns that the government is failing businesses and working families, while not investing in the immediate needs of the health care system.
