Statement from Regina South Albert MLA Aleana Young

According to Statistics Canada, Saskatchewan lost 2,000 jobs last month, and this wasn’t just a bad month. Since Scott Moe took office in February 2018, every other province in Canada except one has created jobs at a higher rate than Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan has so much potential, but the Sask. Party is leaving that potential on the table. Seventy-nine of these jobs belonged to Shercom Industries. This Saskatchewan success story lost out on work after Premier Moe handed their contract to a California-based company with Sask. Party ties.

This is no way to run a province or an economy. We need to put Saskatchewan businesses and workers first. It’s time to get Saskatchewan out of second-last place on job creation.
