Reality Check: Scott Moe’s Russian summer

Nothing beats a Saskatchewan summer. Except maybe a Russian summer, according to the Sask. Party.

On June 23, the Sask. Party government posted an attack ad on X, confusing criticism of Scott Moe’s dismal record on healthcare and on the economy as lacking pride in the amazing province we all call home. They closed it with footage of a happy family walking through a beautiful field of wheat.

However, the footage was not from Saskatchewan. The Sask. Party government purchased stock footage filmed in Russia by a Russian filmmaker, and rushed to delete the ad from X as soon as this was pointed out.

Whether it's American classrooms, American mountains or Russian wheat fields, the Sask. Party seems to have spent so much time jet setting the world they can no longer identify Saskatchewan.

It’s time for a change.
