Yesterday – and again today – in an apparent attempt to prove that irony is not dead, but their sense of shame is, the Sask. Party sent out MLAs to pretend that they had not made significant cuts to funding for public transit and, instead, brag about the funding for transit that they haven’t yet cut.
With their CCS scheme failing, the Sask. Party have no plan
Despite the Sask. Party’s target date to reach 50 per cent renewable energy fast approaching, they have still not provided any details about how they plan to get there, beyond their spin about the problem-plagued and costly Carbon Capture and Storage project at Boundary Dam 3.

Work to hold Sask. Party to account continues as critic portfolios adjusted
Today, Leader of the Official Opposition Nicole Sarauer announced adjustments to the NDP caucus’ critic portfolios. Sarauer noted that very few changes were being made to the team that has spent the last year energized, determined, and focused on fighting for Saskatchewan people and against the Sask. Party’s mismanagement, scandal, and waste.
“This is a highly motivated team that punches well above its weight and our work on behalf of Saskatchewan people doesn’t change just because of some changes in our caucus,” Sarauer said.

For many Saskatchewan families, the Canada Day long weekend is the official launch of summer with BBQs, trips to the beach and campgrounds, and summer fun. However, this year, the Sask. Party’s billion-dollar tax hike and fee increases will mean that those good times and memories will cost Saskatchewan families even more. Meanwhile, large corporations and the wealthy and well-connected will be celebrating their new tax breaks.
“The Sask. Party are forcing families to shell out more in taxes and fees,” said NDP Leader Nicole Sarauer. “The Sask. Party has raised the cost on everything from camping and fishing to a case of beer.”
