The Saskatchewan Transportation Company’s Annual Report was released today and the Sask. Party staff and the Minister responsible were busy delivering spin and doublespeak in a desperate attempt to justify their decision to scrap the STC.
Today, in contrast to the openness and transparency that should come with the release of a Crown Corporation’s annual report, the Minister responsible for SaskTel refused to provide any details about discussions that he admits are ongoing with “several” communications companies for the sell-off of SaskTel.
In the month-and-a-half since the Sask. Party broke their promise and scrapped the STC, people across the province – including seniors - are finding themselves stranded without transportation and relying on hitchhiking as a last resort.
