Saskatchewan has worst-in-the-nation rates of immigrant retention west of Atlantic Canada

REGINA - Today, Official Opposition Leader Carla Beck and Immigration and Economy Critic Aleana Young called on the Sask. Party government to address Saskatchewan’s immigrant retention rates that are worst-in-nation outside Atlantic Canada and worsening under Scott Moe’s leadership.

REGINA - Today, on the 5-year anniversary of Scott Moe’s swearing-in as premier, Official Opposition Leader Carla Beck and Jobs and Economy Critic Aleana Young blasted Scott’s Moe’s failing record on the big three economic indicators: jobs, the economy and interprovincial migration over his first 5 years in office.

REGINA - Today, Official Opposition Critic for First Nation and Metis Relations Betty Nippi-Albright was joined at the Legislature by Okimaw Henry Lewis from Onion Lake Cree Nation, the Council of Onion Lake Cree Nation and Indigenous leaders from across the province to call on the Sask. Party government to halt the upcoming online Crown Land Lease Auction and meaningfully consult with First Nations.

Today, Official Opposition Justice Critic Nicole Sarauer and Social Services Critic Meara Conway stood with Barbara Stuckey, the mother of Jessica Stuckey who was jailed for 36 days and is currently detained in a psychiatric hospital because the Sask. Party government has failed to give her the support she needs. Together they called on the Sask. Party government to stop the inhumane and degrading treatment of people living with intellectual disabilities.
