Statement from Education Critic Carla Beck on the Educational Governance Review Report

We thank Mr. Perrins for the work that he and his team did on this very important initiative.

The options presented represent significant change and will have an effect on every student, parent, and teacher across Saskatchewan. I am disappointed that no option was presented to fix the system we currently have even though many believe it would beneficial to take that route. As I explained at the beginning of this initiative, I continue to be concerned that the Minister of Education is using this process as a way to fast track the plans he already has, without engaging in proper consultations.

The Sask. Party must stop the secrecy and release Husky pipeline reports: NDP

Yesterday, the Sask. Party doubled down on their secrecy, refused to come clean, and once again denied the release of reports done on pipelines running throughout Saskatchewan. The latest cover-up follows a ruling by the Office of the Saskatchewan Information and Privacy Commissioner that called on the government to respond to the request made by the Saskatchewan NDP and release records of any inspections done on Husky pipelines.

Costs continue to skyrocket for Sask. Party’s carbon capture failure

Last week, the Premier continued with his grandstanding and twitter tantrums. While other premiers negotiated benefits for their own provinces, Brad Wall threw away Saskatchewan’s voice and what was left of the Sask. Party’s credibility on the national stage. This week, more issues were revealed about the growing problems and costs of the Sask. Party’s $1.5 billion carbon capture scheme.

Reality Check: Wall still all talk and no action when it comes to climate change and pipelines

Brad Wall used to dismiss First Ministers meetings as a ‘race to the microphone’ but now he’s at the front of the line. He’s excited to deliver his Twitter tantrums orally and seems unconcerned about blowing Saskatchewan’s credibility in the process.
