STATEMENT FROM SASKATCHEWAN NDP LEADER CARLA BECK ON ENERGY MEETINGS IN CALGARY

For immediate release: May 6, 2025

There is real support and enthusiasm right now to get things done, to build Alberta, build Saskatchewan and build Canada.

Energy leaders in Calgary, many of whom have substantial investments and projects in Saskatchewan, are tired of the political games and rhetoric. They want action, stability and an attractive investment climate.

This is an unprecedented moment of consensus and we must seize the opportunity to build generational projects to grow our economy, both right now and for our children and their children after that.

I’m talking about building more rail lines, more pipelines and more power lines.

That is what we’re focused on. Unlike Danielle Smith and Scott Moe, I'm focused on building Canada up, not tearing it apart.
