SASKATOON – As thousands remain unable to return to their home communities in the North due to the wildfire crisis, the Saskatchewan NDP is joining local chambers of commerce and small business owners to call for support for impacted businesses and tourism vendors.

REGINA – After nearly a week of silence, Premier Scott Moe has finally taken questions about the crisis facing wildfire evacuees in northern Saskatchewan — only after being called out by an independent officer of the Legislature for failing evacuees.

REGINA – The Saskatchewan NDP is echoing calls from the provincial Ombudsman and Public Interest Disclosure Commissioner for immediate improvements to supports for thousands of wildfire evacuees after she identified “unprecedented” failures to provide people with shelter, food and critical information.
