REGINA – Following consultation with legal counsel about bringing forward a $50,000 penalty against former Sask. Party MLA Gary Grewal, the Saskatchewan NDP is calling today for changes to strengthen the conflict of interest laws that govern conduct for Members of the Legislative Assembly.

Party claims their recruitment efforts are “the best in the country,” the Health Minister is privately admitting that the number of departures is higher than reported.
Today’s latest Statistics Canada job numbers for the month of November show that over the course of the last year under this Sask. Party government, the region of Yorkton and Melville has lost a total of 7,900 jobs, down -18.9 per cent or nearly 1 in 5 jobs in the region.

Saskatchewan NDP Northern Affairs Shadow Minister pitched an all-party committee to provide recommendations to better health and food security
REGINA – As Northerners face rising food costs and an outbreak of scurvy unlike any seen in generations, Saskatchewan NDP Shadow Minister for Northern Affairs Jordan McPhail sought to introduce an emergency motion in the Human Services Committee to have the committee investigate rising food prices and to bring forward recommendation on ways to improve food security and health for Northerners.
