Scott Moe Refuses To Require High-Flying MLA Kevin Weedmark Come Back To Ground & Be Accountable To Saskatchewan People
REGINA – Scott Moe has gone into hiding on the growing scandal of his Moosomin-Montmatre's MLA’s luxury private jet usage, refusing to respond 24 hours after being asked by Carla Beck’s Team to provide simple receipts and proof that no taxpayer money was used.

“After 20 years of scandals, lies, wasted money, fraud, graft and corruption, Scott Moe and Kevin Weedmark can’t possibly expect Saskatchewan people to trust them at their word,” Beck said.

“What we are asking for is simple — proof the Kevin Weedmark isn’t using one single cent of Saskatchewan tax dollars to further his luxury jet fixation. If they have nothing to hide, it should be easy to provide this and be honest for once. Show the receipts.”

Beck’s team has identified at least two instances of Weedmark using the same $6000-per-hour luxury jet to conduct government business. It is suspected that there are more instances.

On Thursday, Beck and Shadow Minister of Health Meara Conway sent a letter to Premier Scott Moe requesting that he direct Weedmark to publicly release the number of times that he has used the luxury jet to conduct government business and the proof that no taxpayer dollars went into these trips.

“The people of this province are fed up with a Sask. Party Government that lives it up in luxury while telling those struggling to make ends meet they’ve never had it so good — these guys have clearly been in power too long,” Conway said.

“Our team has been inundated by messages from people outraged by an MLA who spends nearly a year’s salary on two jet flights, while healthcare collapses, and the cost-of-living crisis gets worse and worse.”

No matter how long Scott Moe and Kevin Weedmark try to hide from accountability Beck’s Team will push for and honest accounting in every forum possible.

“After 20 years, the people of Saskatchewan are struggling like never before, with the Sask. Party government literally flying above them in luxury jets, ignoring their concerns, and making their lives harder,” said Beck.

“Clearly, it’s time for change.”
