LUXURY JET SCANDAL TAKES OFF AS WEEDMARK REFUSES TO PRODUCE RECEIPTS

Second Luxury Jet Video Emerges Showing Scott Moe’s Out-Of-Touch Sask. Party MLA Using Lavish Private Jets To Perform Government Business
REGINA – Carla Beck’s team is demanding that Scott Moe’s MLA for Moosomin-Montmartre reveal how many times he has used luxury private jets while performing government duties.

Today, it was revealed that, in addition to his $60,000 luxury private jet flight in August, MLA Kevin Weedmark cruised around in the same luxury private jet before.

Another video has surfaced — confirmed by flight records — showing that Weedmark took that same luxury private jet when he toured the Jim Pattison Hospital and Ronald McDonald House in August of 2025.  Based on publicly available data, that trip would have cost upwards of $48,000.

Weedmark insisted Monday that the most recent junket was paid for out of his own pocket, however he has not produced receipts and has refused to answer a number of questions put forward by the Official Opposition and the media.

“Show us the receipts,” said Shadow Minister Meara Conway. “This is a government that lied about bringing guns into the legislature, lied about power bill hikes, lied about the cost of their coal plan, lied about the Sunrise Motel, and countless other things — but on this, we’re just supposed to take their word for it? I don’t think so."

The Sask. Party claimed Tuesday that Weedmark needed the latest $60,000 private jet flight because of the difficulty of travelling to Lloydminster for his scheduled events, despite the fact that other Sask Party MLAs and Ministers were present at both events.

That explanation also fails to account for why Weedmark used the same luxury private jet to travel to Saskatoon for two tours where no government announcements were made. It’s clear that there was no reason Weedmark couldn’t have driven or flown commercial to Saskatoon for his two tours where no government announcements were made.

“This is an MLA who apparently thinks nothing of spending tens of thousands of dollars to fly in extraordinary luxury, while his government tells Saskatchewan families there is no affordability crisis and health-care workers continue waiting for a fair contract,” said Conway.

“If Kevin Weedmark can afford thousands of dollars an hour for extravagant private air travel, he can afford to come back down to earth and show Saskatchewan people the receipts.”

This scandal follows other examples of the out-of-touch and elitist approach the Sask. Party has taken to travel, including Ken Cheveldayoff’s roughly $10,000-per-ticket airfare for a trade mission to Asia earlier this year and Premier Scott Moe’s reported $17,000 flight between Saskatoon and Regina.

“This is a beautiful province, full of incredible people,” said Meara Conway. “It’s a shame the Sask. Party seems so determined to spend its time flying over them instead of listening to them.”
“When a government is willing to spend tens of thousands of dollars travelling above the people they represent, while those same people are struggling to pay their bills, access health care, and find good jobs, it makes one thing crystal clear:
“It’s time for change.”
