Jared Clarke was first elected as the MLA for Regina Walsh Acres in 2023. He serves as the opposition critic for the environment.
Prior to entering politics, Jared was an elementary school teacher and a biologist. Jared taught grade 6/7 with Regina Public Schools for 8 years. Before becoming a teacher, Jared was the year-round Park Naturalist at Wascana Centre for 5 years.
Jared is an avid birder and bird bander. He has banded over 16,000 birds through his own research projects, including species such as Ruby-throated Hummingbirds, Purple Martins and Northern Saw-whet Owls. He has been involved with conservation efforts across the province for decades.
Born and raised in Regina, Jared has always been a part of the Regina community. He has actively volunteered with many organizations including Nature Regina, Canadian Western Agribition, Birds Canada, CJTR Community Radio, and numerous others. Jared and his wife have two children.
