April ChiefCalf is an educator, community organizer and avid volunteer who is committed to delivering a brighter future for Saskatchewan families.
April was born and raised in Saskatchewan and has called Saskatoon home for 11 years. She spent 19 years in La Ronge and worked for the Northern Teacher Education Program (NORTEP/NORPAC) before it was defunded and closed by the Sask. Party government in 2017.
April most recently worked, along with her husband Calvert, in Indigenous teacher education programs on the U of S campus. She has two adult children and loves gardening, sewing, reading and photography.
