Position Title: Administrative Assistant for the NDP Caucus Office

Full Time: Permanent

Hours of Work: 8 am to 5 pm (8am to 4 pm in July and August)

Salary: As per COPE 397 CBA

Job Description:

This is a full-time position based in Regina.

The Administrative Assistant duties and responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the NDP Caucus Office.  Supports Directors and employees through a variety of tasks related to organizations and communication.  Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material.  Ability to effectively communicate via telephone and email ensuring that duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality in a timely manner.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greeting visitors to the office in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answering the phone and redirecting them when necessary
  • File and update casework
  • Maintain an electronic filing and manual filing system.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail
  • Ordering office supplies
  • Resolve office-related malfunctions
  • Maintain relationships with MLAs/Constituency Offices and Party Office
  • Working cooperatively with others

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Proven Administrative Assistant Experience
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and proven problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Organizational and planning skills
  • Proficient in Outlook and other common computer programs
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Certificate in Office Administration preferred
