Saskatchewan’s healthcare system is broken and you can help fix it
Saskatchewan once led the nation in healthcare.
But in 2017, the Sask. Party took control, merging the regional health authorities into a single Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA).
Since then, the system has become bloated, top-heavy, and disconnected from local communities and frontline staff. Political insiders, not healthcare workers, now occupy senior positions within our healthcare system and are focused more on hiding problems than solving them.
The result? Saskatchewan now ranks last in Canada for healthcare. And more and more people are going without care when and where they need it.

MLAs Meara Conway and Jared Clarke are conducting broad consultations to make our healthcare system nation-leading again, now and into the future. They’ll be consulting with everyone – healthcare workers, providers, community leaders, policy experts, patients, families and more.
It's time to shift decision-making and resources away from the politicians and bureaucrats in Regina, and back into the hands of local leaders and the workers on the frontlines.
People are hungry for solutions. And Saskatchewan has a legacy of pursuing big, bold ideas in healthcare when others would not.
Today, we owe it to future generations to once again rebuild healthcare from the ground up.
