Statement from the Leader of the Official Opposition in honour of the Day of Mourning

When a worker in Saskatchewan heads off to work - whether they're wearing a hard hat or scrubs, working outside, inside, on the road or underground - they should feel secure, knowing they will be able to go home at the end of the day.

Last year, 32 workers - including four young people - did not make it home. Thirty-two lives tragically lost. Thirty-two families lost a loved one. That's 32 reasons we must do so much more.

More needs to be done to make sure standards are enforced and workers are safe.

We must all be working to ensure that no Saskatchewan worker is killed or injured on the job. ‎ Saskatchewan people deserve nothing less.
