STATEMENT FROM SASKATCHEWAN NDP LEADER CARLA BECK ON THE THREAT OF A TRADE WAR WITH THE UNITED STATES

This week, my team are continuing to meet with industry leaders and Saskatchewan’s job creators to make sure their concerns are heard by decision makers on both sides of the border.

Leaders at all levels of government need to do their bit to stop this trade war with our largest trading partner.

A 25 per cent tariff will destroy jobs and drive up prices on both sides of the border at a time when working families are already struggling to afford the basics like gas and groceries.
