Right now, acute care at the Beauval health centre is again closed because of a nurse shortage, this time for 17 days straight.
STATEMENT FROM ATHABASCA MLA LEROY LALIBERTE AND SHADOW MINISTER FOR RURAL AND REMOTE HEALTH MEARA CONWAY ON THE BEAUVAL HEALTHCARE CLOSURE
Sadly, this is just one of the many communities being left behind by the Sask. Party.
The Sask. Party is chasing away healthcare workers and closing hospital services across Saskatchewan.
Since Scott Moe took office, Saskatchewan has lost 24 per cent of our rural and remote registered nurses, going from 2,234 in 2018 to 1,708 in the most recent study.
After 17 years of the Sask. Party, Saskatchewan is ranked last place in Canada on healthcare. We need to get Saskatchewan out of last place.
The longer the Sask. Party is in power, the further our friends and family will have to drive for care that used to be offered close to home.
