SCOTT MOE’S FIRST ORDER OF BUSINESS FOR 2026: FIRING UP THE GRAVY TRAIN

Sask. Party’s Own Campaign Director Lands Cushy $198,000 Cabinet Job
REGINA – Scott Moe has ignored repeated calls to make life affordable for struggling Saskatchewan families and instead made his first official order of business in 2026 handing over a cushy, near-$200-thousand-dollar-per-year gig to his own campaign director.
Patrick Bundrock resigned as Executive Director of the Sask. Party in early August. An Order In Council — No.1/2026 — published Monday states he’s been appointed Assistant Cabinet Secretary and Clerk of Executive Council. The job comes with a $198,000 per-year salary and follows Bundrock’s quiet hiring in August as Senior Policy Advisor in the Premier’s office.

“This tells you everything you need to know about Scott Moe’s priorities,” said Nicole Sarauer, Saskatchewan NDP House Leader. “His first decision of the year is to pay off one of his most prominent Sask. Party
insiders — the very guy that steered a campaign that saw five of Moe’s ministers defeated and them lose every seat in Regina and all but one in Saskatoon.

“Every day Saskatchewan families can’t catch a break from this government, but Moe will happily find cushy roles for his insider friends.”

Patrick Bundrock spent 15 years as Executive Director of the Sask. Party before resigning in early August, saying I thought it was time to move on’.

As it turns out, the move was from party headquarters in Regina’s north end to the east wing of the Saskatchewan Legislature, from a highly partisan political role to one of the most powerful positions on the government payroll.

“Scott Moe is hiking rates on power bills and for car insurance, and he’s piling costs onto municipalities that drive up property taxes,” Sarauer said. “He’s stacked tens of millions in taxes on groceries and clothes ‎and refuses to do anything to get the cost of rent under control.
‎ ‎
“Taxpayers should be asking the Premier why rewarding political hacks is his top priority when everyone is being forced to pay more.”

“Put those two salaries together, and the government could have hired four new nurses or four new K-12 teachers — instead we get more partisan hacks in the Premier’s inner circle,” Sarauer said.

“Scott Moe has driven us to $40 billion in debt by wasting money over and over like this.

“Carla Beck and the Saskatchewan NDP will put families first and lower their costs on Day 1 of forming the next NDP Government. It’s time for change.”
