SCOTT MOE’S FAILURES SEE REGINA URGENT CARE HOURS CUT FOR TENTH-STRAIGHT WEEK

Moe Promised Regina Urgent Care Centre Would Be 24/7
REGINA – Scott Moe and the Sask. Party are cutting Regina Urgent Care Centre hours for the tenth-straight week.

The Regina Urgent Care Centre will operate with reduced hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19.

Prior to the election, Moe promised the Urgent Care Centre would operate 24/7. Currently, the “regular” operating hours of the Regina Urgent Care Centre are 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

“Scott Moe and his ministers will say anything to hold on to power,” said Meara Conway, Saskatchewan NDP Shadow Minister for Health.

“The Sask. Party has broken their key election promise of 24/7 urgent care. They can't even keep this building open at reduced hours because they have run so many doctors and nurses out of our province.”

Moe’s Patient's First Health Plan recycles commitments made over a decade ago by a previous Premier that have still not been delivered.

In their current bad news budget, Moe is only increasing funding for healthcare by 0.3 per cent.

“This tired and out-of-touch government has no plan to get the healthcare system back on track and no plan to staff up the UCC,” said Conway.

“We need big bold change to get healthcare out of last place. It’s time for change.”
