"Scott Moe and his government are asleep at the switch, with one of Canada' weakest job creation record, chronically high unemployment, and increasing unemployment for youth which is especially concerning to see at this level in the summer months," said Sally Housser Shadow Minister of Energy and Resources and SaskEnergy.
"The Sask. Party continues to claim that the economy is great, but those who are living in it, and trying to make ends meet know the truth. Especially for those who are just trying to enter the job market for the first time, Scott Moe is failing them."
In the month of July 2026, Saskatchewan lost 2,900 full-time jobs. Other examples of Sask. Party economic failures include:

Swift Current-Moose Jaw saw employment shrink by 400 and unemployment increased by 1,900,

Yorkton-Melville saw employment shrink by 2,900 and employment increased by 500,

Prince Albert and Northern saw employment shrink by 3,400 and employment increased by 2,900.
"These are communities represented by Sask. Party MLA's who are utterly failing their constituents," said Housser.
"There is no plan, no support, not even a drop of empathy or compassion for those struggling under Scott Moe's economic failures. Just a government that piles on costs and ignores the impacts."
This data follows news that the Sawmill at Big River was curtailed impacted directly 117 jobs. Rather than standing up for workers, or condemning the tariffs that led to this curtailment, Scott Moe used taxpayer dollars to attend the funeral of Lindsey Graham one of the biggest proponents of the tariffs attacking Saskatchewan's economy.
"While Scott Moe flies out of Saskatchewan to honour those who are attacking our workers, Carla Beck's team will always stand up for Saskatchewan workers." Said Housser.
"It is time for change."
