EVEN MOE’S FRIENDS CRY FOUL AS HE SPENDS MORE THAN ANY PREMIER IN AT LEAST 60 YEARS — STILL FAILS ON HEALTHCARE, CRIME, ETC.

Saskatchewan NDP Commits To Ending Sask. Party Waste & Mismanagement
REGINA – Scott Moe and the Sask. Party are spending record amounts of public money  — ballooning the province’s debt in the progress — with nothing to show for it as Saskatchewan healthcare gets worse and crime rates skyrocket.
Fiscal analysis conducted by the Official Opposition shows that the Sask. Party has increased spending by 47 per cent since Scott Moe took office as Premier in 2018 while collecting more and more in tax from the people of Saskatchewan each and every year.
Moe and his Ministers’ spending is so egregious it has even drawn criticism from right-wing groups like the Fraser Institute, which recently found Moe is spending more per-person than any Premier in at least the last 60 years. The institute is openly advising the Sask. Party take lessons from the fiscal record of former Saskatchewan NDP Premier Roy Romanow.
“Even Scott Moe’s closest allies are sick and tired of his mismanagement, wasteful spending and zero results,” said Saskatchewan NDP Finance Shadow Minister Trent Wotherspoon.
“We are last in the country in healthcare and new data we’ve released in recent days indicates the situation on the frontlines in our hospitals is only getting worse.
“Severe crime in Saskatchewan is nearly twice the national average.
“Post-secondary schools are laying off staff, robbing young people — our future leaders — of opportunities to learn the skills we will need for tomorrow.
“I could go on and on but the bottom line is Scott Moe and the Sask. Party have failed at every turn to address the problems we face and, still, they pile tax after tax on families who already can barely make ends meet.”
The interest costs on Saskatchewan’s debt are now more than $1 billion annually.
“That’s $1 billion of money that belongs to the Saskatchewan people that’s being handed over to bankers in Toronto,” Wotherspoon said.  “We don’t have to settle for this — I want the people of Saskatchewan to know that a Saskatchewan NDP Government led by Carla Beck will investigate all of this and put a stop to the Sask. Party’s waste and mismanagement.
“We will leave no stone unturned as we stop the waste and get the value- for-money for Saskatchewan people deserve.”
