Governmental Competence
This Sask Party government doesn’t consult, won’t answer questions, attempts to side-step issues, and tells Saskatchewan people whatever story happens to suit them at the time. A vigilant and effective opposition is critically important to keeping this arrogant and untrustworthy Sask Party government accountable and in check.
Take the very first news conference Brad Wall had as Premier:
“Although Premier Brad Wall and his Saskatchewan Party took office warning of "stark" finances given the previous government's spending patterns, this budget sees a 10 per cent hike over the previous budget and about five per cent more than was actually spent last year.”

In Opposition we’re doing our job:
- We’ve caught the Sask Party trying to pass legislation allowing them to spend hundreds of thousands of taxpayer’s dollars at a time without oversight
- We forced them to unilaterally change the rules of the Assembly to pass their anti-labour legislation.
- We shamed them into a hiring process to replace the fired LRB vice-chair after they ignored proper practice and appointed a political crony to sit as LRB chair.
- We shone a light on their mean-spirited cuts to valuable social programs
