Ryan Meili was elected as the MLA for Saskatoon Meewasin in a byelection on March 2, 2017.
Before being elected to the legislature, Ryan was a family doctor in inner-city Saskatoon, a teacher of medical students at the University of Saskatchewan, a long-time advocate for better public policy, and the founder and executive director of Upstream.
His book, A Healthy Society: How a focus on health can revive Canadian democracy, charts a course for democratic renewal in Canadian politics that ensures long-term investment in better outcomes for all.
Ryan believes that, together, we can build a more fair and healthy Saskatchewan, and is passionately committed to the goal of better lives for all.
Ryan lives in Saskatoon with his wife Mahli Brindamour, who practices as a pediatrician, and their son Abraham.
