In response to the news that an outbreak has been declared at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, Prince Albert Northcote MLA Nicole Rancourt issued the following statement:

“While the news today is concerning for the people of Prince Albert, specifically those with a loved one working or receiving treatment at the Victoria Hospital, I know that the people of Prince Albert are strong and resilient.

“With the sobering news today, it’s important now, more than ever, that we continue to show that strength. Now is not the time to take our foot off the pedal or treat this pandemic less seriously.

“If we work together and continue to follow the rules around physical distancing, we can overcome this.

“Finally, to all our healthcare workers who are doing everything they can to preserve our safety while risking theirs, I want to say thank you.”
