Meili challenges missing-in-action Moe to show leadership, condemn COVID disinformation

With cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan up 400 percent in the last thirty days, and hospitalizations up 300 percent, NDP Leader Ryan Meili challenged Premier Scott Moe to finally show some leadership to get ahead of the second wave by advocating for essential public health measures such as masking and vaccinations as municipal leaders are doing, rather than letting anti-mask and anti-vaxx extremists take up all the oxygen.

Hundreds of jobs lost due to Moe's failure to put Sask. workers first

NDP Leader Ryan Meili today branded the loss of nearly 500 jobs at Evraz "weak leadership" on the part of Sask. Party Premier Scott Moe. Meili reiterated his call, first made in August, for the Premier to support threatened jobs at the steel mill by advocating for the use of Canadian steel on Canadian projects, and to lead by example by implementing a Sask-first procurement policy for Saskatchewan Crowns.

Meili calls on Moe to extend “Hero Pay” to all front-line healthcare workers

REGINA - With COVID-19 hitting front-line health professionals across the healthcare system, Official Opposition Leader Ryan Meili called on Premier Scott Moe and the Sask. Party government today to extend Phase 2 of the Saskatchewan Temporary Wage Supplement Program to all healthcare workers in the province. Currently, the “hero pay” program only supports workers in long-term care and personal care home facilities impacted by the suspension on visitations that came into effect on November 20, as well as homecare workers.
