“My husband and I are very excited this day has finally arrived! My time here in Canada has meant so much to me and our family. The entire community has been so great to us and we’re honoured to be receiving our Canadian citizenship today,” Rubiela said.
“It’s pretty cool, I can call myself a Canadian now and I’m so proud of that. My mom and dad have been so supportive of me and my sister through this entire process, it’s so great to be here today with all the other families who are also getting their citizenship,” said Sahid. “My life in Regina is great, I have my friends, my family and now I can say I’m a Canadian. It doesn’t get much better than that.”
