Sandra Morin was born and raised in North Regina, where she lives with her husband Jeff and their ten-year-old daughter.

Sandra was first elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature in 2003 and served as Minister of Culture, Youth and Recreation in Premier Lorne Calvert's NDP government.

Before entering politics, Sandra worked for Canada Safeway and, from 1994 to 2003, she was chief shop steward for Canada Safeway employees, representing nearly 600 workers.

She is a long-time and active member of the German cultural community volunteering her time at the German Language School in Regina. Sandra and Jeff are also certified with the Canadian Ski Instructor Association and coach children through the Regina Alpine Race Team's Snow Star Program.
