Affordability
Saskatchewan has long been known as an affordable place to live, with a quality of life that simply can’t be beat, but the Saskatchewan dream of getting the job and then the house, car and family vacations is slipping away from more and more Saskatchewan people.

Thanks to the industriousness of Saskatchewan people, combined with sound financial management of successive NDP governments, Saskatchewan’s economy is firing on all cylinders and creating prosperity.  There’s no doubt Saskatchewan is booming but are all Saskatchewan people sharing in the benefits?

Saskatchewan’s economic momentum has brought with it challenges for hard working Saskatchewan families, our senior citizens and young people just starting out; challenges the Sask Party is either unprepared or unwilling to address.

While provincial coffers are bursting at the seams, many people are finding it harder and harder to make ends meet or to enjoy the traditionally high quality of life Saskatchewan people have come to expect.

While the Sask Party rakes in billions of extra dollars, Saskatchewan citizens are facing increased costs of living; including soaring utility rates, rising rents and housing costs, and sky-rocketing fuel prices.  The NDP believes it’s time for the Sask Party to look after the citizens who helped build this province.

The NDP will continue to put pressure on the Sask Party to share the benefits of our booming economy with Saskatchewan people and to ensure Saskatchewan stays affordable for average Saskatchewan families.
